Gaining qualifications before required, top level insurance before requested, best business polices before an incident, reliable machinery before a breakdown and sound employee relationships before we grew to a team.

Tree Lopping/Pruning/Shaping/Mulching

Westerly Contractors owns and operates from the commercial property of 134 Boundary Road Carnarvon.

Our business offers a professional service in all aspects of the tree industry to customers within the Gascoyne area. We strive to meet all industry safety requirements and operate to Australian Standards and as such are fully utilised by our local Government agencies. Our business, since April 03, has successfully managed all Tree Maintenance works for the Carnarvon Shire.

Ted, as Managing Director, utilises his qualifications in Arboriculture and his extensive experience operating all machinery, equipment and tools safely and successfully within the Tree Lopping industry to ensure our business motto “100% Tree Service” is accurate. All industry required qualifications have been achieved and maintained over the years along with a sound knowledge of all machine maintenance.

Business Prior to 2003

As a partnership our business contracted to Gascoyne Essential Services for approximately 10 years. Gascoyne Essential Services (G.E.S) during this time has provided a wide range of services to Gascoyne area.  A large percentage of our customer service consisted of works required in the Garden Maintenance industry.  This involved a heavy amount of Tree lopping, shaping, target pruning and general tree maintenance. Other services offered during this time were reticulation, landscaping and fencing.

Garden Bags-

Originally operated by us as Teds Garden Bags Service, then as part of Westerly Contractors. A monthly service, to approximately 120 customers, throughout the town of Carnarvon. This particular service relied heavily our ability as a business to keep up to date records and accounting as we ran 4 separate rounds on a weekly basis. Due to our businesses growing demands we on sold this business.

Stump grinding-

Originally operated by us as Norwest Stump grinding, now a part of Westerly Contractors. This particular part of our business requires a sound knowledge of safe working procedures in public areas and traffic management procedures along with the ability to access relevant information in regards to under ground cabling.

Concrete Curbing-

Operated by us as Norwest Concrete Curbing and sold to Woodgimia CDEP. This business was purchased initially as equipment, which we improved and repaired. We then worked at and developed a market in Carnarvon. Due to our other businesses growing demands we on sold this business.
